The Oregon Berry Festival

Come down to the Ecotrust Building on NW 10th and Johnson in Portland, July 20 & 21…

…to taste and buy some of the season’s best berries and also sample amazing products made with Oregon’s berry bounty.

There will be ice creams, pies, cobblers, jams, strawberry shortcake plus the unexpected taste treat like Marionberry BBQ sauce, red raspberry beer, cranberry chocolates, natural blueberry soda and much more.

This is a fun family event with a children’s activities, live entertainment,  a Portland chef berry cook-off and a chance to win a Trek Allant bike with cargo package and eat your fill of Oregon berries.

Chef Philippe Boulot will prepare the Gala Berry Dinner – the culmination of the very first Oregon Berry Festival!

Portland, OR – “Eat Your Berries!” – The Oregon Berry Festival presents a Gala Berry Dinner, Saturday, 6:30pm – July 23rd at the Heathman Restaurant.

The Gala Berry Dinner will mark the culmination of the very first Oregon Berry Festival, held July 22-23, 2011 at the Ecotrust Building in Portland’s Pearl Distrcit. The Gala will showcase all of Oregon’s premium berries in a six-course gourmet dinner paired with the finest of Oregon wines.

Dinner guests will be treated to appetizers and berry cocktails beginning at 6:30 pm.

An extravagant display of Oregon’s berry bounty will be presented in a blind tasting for guests.

There will be prizes for those astute enough to correctly identify each berry variety from this sumptuous display. The show stopping dinner, prepared by master Chef Philippe Boulot and his staff will feature multiple courses each one inspired by one or more of Oregon’s prize berry varieties. This is sure to be a highlight of the summer dining season in Portland!

The Oregon berry industry is one of the largest and oldest in the U.S. Four Oregon berry groups are joining together for the first time to promote their berries as “Oregon” berries at this festival. The festival is funded in part by a USDA Grant award through the Oregon Dept. of Agriculture.
