The Ecotrust Event Space hosts the 5rd Annual
Oregon Berry Festival July 17-18, 2015

Featuring more than 40 different booths with first of Oregon’s bountiful berry harvest for 2015.

Nothing says summer in Oregon more than plump ripe raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and blueberries. These iconic Oregon treats will be available fresh from the farm and in all sorts of unique and delicious products at the 5th Annual LifeWise Oregon Berry Festival, held at the Ecotrust Event Space in Portland. This free, family friendly event includes two days of an all berry marketplace, children’s booth with activities and crafts, main stage entertainment, information on the health benefits of berries and delicious berry-themed food offerings.

Children’s entertainment, musical groups and cooking demos will make the LifeWise Oregon Berry Festival Bluesberry stage come alive on both days of the festival. New this year onstage is the Blackberry Pie Contest, which will be open to both home chefs and professional chefs and features a pie making demo by the Portland Pie Company. Time to dust off grandma’s pie recipe and enter win one of three great gift basket prizes from Columbia Empire Farms and a signed copy of American Baker by Chef Jim Dodge.

After you’ve stocked up on berries and berry gifts, take time to visit the Healthy Berry Pavilion and meet professional dieticians who will help answer any questions on berries and how they contribute to a healthy lifestyle. While there, learn more about how berries help prevent type 2 diabetes in children from the Blueberry Family Health Foundation. The Pavilion also includes LifeWise Health Plan of Oregon’s booth that will feature fun ways to think about adding berries into your family’s diet plus a special treat for LifeWise members.

Returning to the berry calendar in addition to the popular daytime events will be the Gala Berry Dinner on Saturday, July 19th. Held at OMSI in Portland with outdoor dining overlooking the Willamette River, the dinner will feature gourmet menu items showcasing Oregon’s luscious berry harvest. This special dinner will be prepared by James Beard award winning Chef, Jim Dodge author of “American Baker.” This limited seating dinner is sure to be a highlight of the summer, so be sure to get tickets before they are all gone.

Featuring more than 40 different booths with first of Oregon’s bountiful berry harvest for 2014.

Whether you crave juicy, plump blackberries, mouth watering strawberry preserves or a good old fashioned blueberry pie, Oregon’s bountiful berry season will be on full offer at the 4th Annual LifeWise Oregon Berry Festival.

This free, family friendly event will feature a 2-day farmers market, a children’s booth with activities and crafts, a main stage with cooking demos and entertainment, health and wellness seminars and more berry deliciousness than you can possibly imagine.

NEW for 2014: the expanded festival will feature a Know Your Oregon Berries booth, which will provide berry handling and storage tips, harvest dates and everything you need to know to help you enjoy the berries when you get them home (if you can resist eating them on the way!)

Held on the rooftop terrace of the Ecotrust building, the dinner will feature a berry centric menu from a selection of Portland’s top chefs. And if you want more, LifeWise Oregon Berry Festival Restaurant Month will be happening across the city, with a range of local restaurants highlighting specialty berry menu items
available all July long.

Eat Your Berries! The Oregon Berry Festival

Portland, OR

It wouldn’t be an Oregon summer without sweet, juicy berries showing up in everything from beer to pies! You’re sure to find both at the second annual Oregon Berry Festival, July 20th & 21st, 2012 at the Ecotrust event spaces in Portland. Visitors will have a chance to taste and buy some of the season’s best berries and also sample amazing products made with Oregon’s berry bounty. Admission is free for all events at the Ecotrust, located at NW 10th & Johnson in Portland. Hours will be from noon to six on Friday, July 20th and 11 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturday, July 21st.

The Oregon Berry Festival will feature family centric entertainment all day on the “Bluesberry Stage”. There will be a children’s area with games, activities and a visit from “Ima Blueberry”, as well as cooking demonstrations for all ages. An elegant Gala Berry Dinner will be held on Saturday, July 21st at the Heathman Hotel. Tours of local farms, a chance to win raffle prizes and lots more will help round out the 2012 Oregon Berry Festival.

The Oregon Berry Festival is currently accepting applications from vendors. We are seeking fresh seasonal Oregon berries, products made from Oregon berries and we are looking for food vendors who would be able to produce some items using Oregon berries.
