In addition to many national and local TV appearances, Mark has headlined casinos, festivals and even with music legends like Sammy Hagar, Blues Traveler and more. Mark will bring his unique mix of magic, comedy and family fun to this year’s festival.
2:15pm 3:00pm Chef Leif Eric Benson CEC, AAC Chef Leif Eric Benson CEC, AACCooking Demonstration: Chef Benson is our four time Chef of the year winner in Oregon. He is the 2012 Chef of the Year for the Chefs de Cuisine Society of Oregon, he is the only Chef in the chapter’s 60 year history to receive the recognition twice. He is Also the Chef of the Year for the Oregon In 2010 he received the Chef of the Year from our State’s Department of Agriculture presented by Director Katy Coba. Chef Benson serves as a Oregon Agricultural Commissioner promoting our states natural bounty internationally as our Culinary Ambassador and consultant.
3:15pm 4:00pm Dave Mullany Dave MullanyDave Mullany started playing guitar in 1968 in Kingston, N.Y., near Woodstock. In New York City he played in the top clubs and studios. With former John Lennon sidemen from Elephant’s Memory he opened shows for Muddy Waters, Jorma Kaukonen and Jerry Garcia as well as backing up Bo Diddley on his New York dates. They were featured in the film “Hells Angels Forever,” which also included Willie Nelson, Jerry Garcia, Bo Diddley and Johnny Paycheck. In 1991, Mullany moved to Portland and began focusing on acoustic blues, studying with John Cephas, Woody Mann, Bob Brozman and John Renbourn. His passion for playing has led to his success as a mainstay session player and guitar teacher in the Portland/Seattle area. In 2000, Mullany joined the teaching staff at International Guitar Seminars in New York City, along with his former mentors and artists such as John Renborn, Roy Bookbinder and Jorma Kaukonen. Mullany continues to play and teach in the Pacific Northwest. He has released a solo CD and two instructional DVDs and has begun work on his second CD.

Accompanying himself on guitar, banjo ukulele, and other unique and recycled instruments, Dave presents a lively blend of original and “recycled” songs and stories about the natural world and our place in it.

12:00pm 12:45pm Lucy Vaserfirer. Oregon Berry Flavored Butters Culinary Demo. Lucy Vaserfirer is a culinary educator, chef, recipe developer, food blogger, food stylist, food photographer, and the author of Flavored Butters: How to Make Them, Shape Them, and Use Them as Spreads, Toppings, and Sauces and Seared to Perfection: The Simple Art of Sealing in Flavor. Her entertaining and educational blog, Hungry Cravings, demystifies complicated cooking and baking techniques and offers delicious, foolproof recipes. Lucy teaches at Clark College in Washington and Mount Hood Community College in Oregon and has taught both home and professional cooks and bakers for years. A Le Cordon Bleu graduate with degrees in both culinary arts and patisserie and baking, she lives with her husband in Vancouver, Washington.
